In a late night interview following Super Bowl LI, Patriots leading receiver Julian Edelman stated he and teammate Danny Amendola have a saying they say all the time: “You gotta believe.”
Making the seemingly unbelievable catch that leveraged the Super Bowl win, Edelman demonstrated his mantra. Edelman notes that “the game was a microcosm of the season.”
“We started off with a little adversity and challenge, put ourselves in the hole, but stick together, stay mentally tough and play one play at a time, (made us) world champions,” Edelman said.
